1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for or using RubanExpress (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users including merchants, riders, and customers.
2. Description of Service
RubanExpress is a delivery management platform that connects merchants (businesses that create delivery orders) with riders (delivery personnel) and provides order tracking to customers. The platform is operated by Ruban Softwares, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India.
3. Merchant Accounts
- You must provide accurate business information during registration.
- Each account is for a single business entity. Sharing credentials is prohibited.
- You are responsible for all orders created from your account.
- New accounts include a goodwill onboarding allowance of free deliveries. Once the allowance is used, deliveries are paid for from your prepaid wallet.
- Wallet balance is non-refundable except in cases of platform error.
- Merchants must not use the platform for illegal deliveries, prohibited goods, or fraudulent orders.
4. Rider Accounts
- Riders must be at least 18 years old with a valid driving licence.
- Rider accounts are subject to approval by RubanExpress based on document verification.
- Riders are independent contractors, not employees of Ruban Softwares.
- Riders are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of all assigned orders.
- COD amounts collected must be handed over accurately - any discrepancy will result in account suspension.
- GPS location sharing is mandatory during active deliveries.
5. Prohibited Uses
You must not use RubanExpress to:
- Deliver illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items
- Submit false or fraudulent orders
- Harass, threaten, or harm any other user
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or distribute the platform
- Abuse the onboarding allowance by creating multiple accounts
6. Payments and Wallet
- Delivery fees are deducted from the merchant wallet for each order.
- The wallet is prepaid. Top-ups are processed via Razorpay and are non-refundable.
- There is no subscription. You pay only per delivery from your prepaid wallet balance.
- A single platform commission is deducted per completed delivery at the published rate.
- COD amounts are settled to merchant wallets by the super admin after rider handover verification.
7. Limitation of Liability
Ruban Softwares is a technology platform provider. We are not responsible for:
- Delivery delays caused by traffic, weather, or rider availability
- Damage to goods during transit
- Losses arising from incorrect addresses provided by merchants or customers
- COD shortfalls caused by rider misconduct (disputes handled case by case)
Our total liability in any dispute is limited to the value of the delivery fee paid for the specific order in question.
8. Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that:
- Violates these Terms
- Has unpaid dues or disputed payments
- Is involved in fraudulent activity
- Has been inactive for more than 12 months
9. Intellectual Property
All content, code, design, and features of the RubanExpress platform are the intellectual property of Ruban Softwares. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Registered merchants will be notified via email. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
